Man Booker Prize

Established in 1969, the Man Booker Prize has become the leading literary award in the English speaking world. The prize is awarded annually for the best novel of the year, written in English and published in the United Kingdom.

The winner's career is transformed with the presentation of £50,000 and a guaranteed worldwide readership; in addition, each of the six shortlisted authors are awarded £2,500.
